(Law of Righteousness)

Righteousness:  Void on any sin, of any kind, totally sinless. The only ticket to Heaven.

1. What about God, ______TOTALLY_ righteous.

I, the Lord your God, am holy. The Hosts of  heavens declare His righteousness.

Leviticus 19:2; Psalm 50:6

You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it. Isaiah 45:8

There is no perversion of justice with the Lord our God, or partiality, He cannot be persuaded from truth . Psalm 19:11

The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.  For there is no partiality with God. Deuteronomy 32:4; Romans 2:11

O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; John 17:25

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin, totally righteous. Hebrews 4:15

2. What about good old  mankind, (humans) totally UNRIGHTEOUS

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—Romans 5:12

There is none righteous, not even one;  I was born with a sin nature, from the moment of conception, sinful. The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies. Romans 3:10 , Psalm 51:5, Psalm 58:3

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; and like the wind our sins sweep us away. Isaiah 64:6,7

Our Dilemma: Without righteous no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14

The penalty for being unrighteous is death, separation from God. Romans 6:23

3. God provides HIMSELF for us to be acceptable to Him; imputed righteousness.

(This secures my relationship with God which is unchangeable)

But we see Jesus,  who suffered death, (separation from God) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9

For our sake he made HIM to be sin who knew no sin, so that in HIM we might become the righteousness of God. 1I Corinthians 5:21

This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile. Romans 3:22

When you were dead in your sins  God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. Colossians 2:13,14

By this will we have been righteous through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. Hebrews 10:10

Another Dilemma: The Holy One who made you Holy, requires us to be Holy in our behavior, actions and attitudes. 1 Peter 1:15

4. God also DEMANDS that we live righteous; stay fellowship with HIM, which is changeable, imparted righteousness.

I find then the principle that evil is present in me, even though  I am righteous in my standing with God. Romans 7:21

So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:11-14

In order to live righteous, walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:4

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies to become more Christ like each day as you yield to HIM.. Romans 8:11
