HOW TO GIVE GRACEFULLY

Grace Giving: Cheerful giving to the church based upon desire and the blessings and promises you have received.
Universal question: How does giving money to the church benefit ME?
¨ Grace giving helps to develop our faithfulness.
¨ Grace giving makes us more Christ like.
¨ Grace giving brings us special blessings (favors) from God.
¨ Grace giving proves to God our love for Him and His church.
¨ Grace giving assist us in achieving financial stability
1. Grace giving is proceeded by a complete giving of oneself.
And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord, in keeping with God’s will. 2 Corinthians 8:5
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20
2. Grace giving has to be done cheerfully.
You must each decide in your heart, but don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
Yes, I am giving you all these holy offerings that the people of Israel bring to the Lord. Numbers 18:19
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Malachi 3:10

God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat., He will increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them. they . 2 Corinthians 9:10,11
3. Grace giving has to be done systematically .
On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. 1 Corinthians 16:2
God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. Genesis 1:14
Therefore openly before the churches, show them the proof of your love. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love; 2 Corinthians 8:24;8
Remember to observe the Sabbath . You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants. Exodus 20:8-10
4. Grace giving has to be patterned after Jesus.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, 2 Corinthians 8:9
But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us see that you also excel in this grace of giving. Jesus said, this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 2 Corinthians 8:7, Luke 21:2
Zacchaeus said to the Lord, here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said , “Today salvation has come to this house. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:8-10
Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of Himself that He had to cling to the advantages of that status. When the time came, He emptied Himself . Philippians 2:5-7
