“HOW TO FORGIVE YOUR WAY TO HAPPINESS ”

1. You must consider what great MERCY has been shown to you.

2. You must pray to God to increase your FAITH to forgive. 3. Look for the spiritual LESSON God is communicating to you.         4. Stop investing in HURT and start investing in HOPE.

NOTE: Unforgiveness will allow the pain to continue long after the act itself.

1. You must determined that LIFE is too precious to live with sadness.

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: Hallelujah! Revelation 19:1,

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14

O God, remember that my life is but a breath, and I will never again feel happiness.      Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow. Job 7:7 ; Psalm 144:4

For my days disappear like smoke, and my bones burn like red-hot coals. My heart is sick, withered like grass, and I have lost my appetite. Because of my groaning, I am reduced to skin and bones. Psalm 102:3-5

2. Put your energy into forgiving and TRUST God to prosecute.

His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.” Revelation 19:2

O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, you make righteous judgments, and you examine the deepest thoughts and secrets. Let me see your vengeance against them, for I have committed my cause to you. Jeremiah 11:20

For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18

3. You must seek happiness  in WORSHIP to God.

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: “Amen, Hallelujah!” Revelation 19:4

When you come to praise and worship and realize you have not forgiven someone, leave go and be reconciled to that person, then come back to church. Matthew 5:23

But when you are worshipping, first forgive yourself or anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. Mark 11:25

For day and night sadness has overtaken me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin as I worshiped and learn how to forgive. “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” You forgave and happiness has been restored. Psalm 32:4-5.

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 4.

4.  Visualize possibilities , WORK towards forgiveness that will result in happiness.

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Revelation 19:7

Forgive one another, don’t bear a grudge against anyone , but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:8

Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” Luke 17:3-5

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
