Allen McLauchlin, Pastor

A family friendly, never alone, purpose driven church

I am about to do something new.  I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34,35

1. To experience first hand the movement of God.

To know wisdom and instruction, To discern and understand. Proverbs 1:2

I had only heard about you before, but now I see with my own eyes. Job 42:5

For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Isaiah  6:5

So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” John 20:25

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1:17

That which  we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. We have seen it and testify to it. 1 John 1:1,2

2. To have the power of God’s love woven into my human fabric. (spirit)

To receive instruction in wise behavior, doing what is right and fair. Proverbs 1:3

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34,35

Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:43,44

3. To have observable/measurable proof that I’m maturing in the Lord

Give discipline  to the naive, knowledge and discretion to the young. Proverbs 1:4

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and cannibalism , not in dissension and jealousy. Romans 11:13

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31,32

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 1 Corinthians 13:11

Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you when you come, for he will be helpful to me in my ministry. 2 Timothy 4:11

When Moses left the presence of the Lord , behold, the skin of his face shone, it was radiant. Exodus 34:30

4. To become a reservoir of knowledge and guidance to those who hurt.

To understand proverbs and parables, sayings and riddles of the wise. Proverbs 1:6

I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. Romans 15:14

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—1 Corinthians 1:4,5

Truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

NOTE: We are just a mere shadow of what we can become.

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Colossians 2:17
