“HOW TO OVERCOME YOUR CURRENT CRISIS”

Current Crisis:  A stressful situation that has been happening for a short time but seems like it has been going on forever with no end in sight.

1. Seek sound advice.

Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power. Proverbs 8:14

Plans go wrong for lack of sound advice; but sound advisers bring success. Proverbs 15:55

My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction Proverbs 1:8.

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. Proverbs 27:9

But he forsook the counsel of the elders which they had given him, and consulted with the young men who grew up with him and served him. 1 King 12:8

The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. Psalm 33:11

2. Seek out the strategy ( love & forgiveness ) used by God.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. Proverbs 8:17

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30

Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:13

So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. Genesis 6:6

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace— Luke 19:41,42

Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said:  Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; Hebrews 10:5

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. John 3:16

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34

3. Look for the positiveness in your crisis.

My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. Proverbs 8:19

But He knows where I am going. And when He tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. Job 23:10

But someone may ask, “How will the dead be raised? What kind of bodies will they have?” What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first. 1 Corinthians 15:35,35

But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19-21

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

4. Seek with all your heart to live a repented life. An a about-face.

I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice. Proverbs 8:20

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him.  Today salvation has come to this house . For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:8

Therefore say to the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices! Ezekiel 14:6

I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will continue perish. Luke 13:3

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.  Proverbs 4:18
