In a real sense, Satan has no power:

Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.- 1 John 3:7, 8

No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. -Isaiah 54:17

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. - Luke 10:19

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. - Colossians 2:15

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. - Matthew 28:18

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. - Romans 8:16, 17

What Satan has is lies and a bunch of them:

When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. - John 8:44

The enemy loves to put thoughts into the believer’s mind. Those thoughts (if meditated on) produce strongholds, which produce feelings which land us in bondage. Thoughts determine our decisions, our decisions determine our actions, our actions become habits, and our habits become our character and the outcome is our destiny. Thought life is the helm, (root) everything else is the fruit of our thoughts. Satan wants to determine your destiny concerning, finance, marriage, relationship, commitment, sickness, ministry and family.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. - 1 Peter 5:8, 9

God has big plans for your life:

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7

With No Power, how is Satan so destructive?

Satan has only one method of operation.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. - Ephesians 6:11

(wiles- the way he travels) Devil- Di-(diameter) aballo (throw) - to cut a hole into our minds, to make accusations, slander. Lying thoughts are the roadway that Satan uses to get into our minds.

You can’t do it, it not going to work for you.

You have the wrong motive

You are not worthy

You can’t recover, too much damage

Satan: Look at that sin you did five years (five months) ago. That’s unforgivable, you are such a failure. If you continue to feed into that lie, it will grow into a stronghold. Your feelings are quite often a direct result of your thoughts. If you think you are a failure, you will feel like one.

For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night. - Revelation 12:10

He throws and throws accusations until he penetrates your mind. The whole motivation behind the ugly demon spirit is to discredit the work of Christ in our lives. We fail, Jesus forgave, but this evil spirit keeps pointing to the mistake, as if Christ did nothing to erase it. However we conquer our thought life through the Word of God For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of through God: imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; - 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Captive: To beat repeatedly with the sword of the Lord. I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed.I shattered them, so that they were not able to rise; you have subdued under me those who rose up against me. You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, and I destroyed those who hated me. They cried for help, but there was none to save, even to the Lord, but He did not answer them. Then I beat them fine as the dust before the wind; I emptied them out as the mire of the streets. - Psalm 18:37-41

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. - Romans 12:2

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. - 1 John 4:4

Every time satan throws a thought contrary to the Word of God, you say it is written, get thee behind me satan and repeat a Scripture as often as needed to block the road to your mind. Over and over, beat it with the sword, chase it, pursue it, and destroy it.
