“HOW TO HAVE A BANNER YEAR WITH YOUR SPOUSE”

A family friendly, never alone, purpose driven church  

Wife: Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth.                                        Husband: I liken you, my darling, to a mare  harnessed to one of the chariots of Pharaoh.  Your cheeks are beautiful with earrings, your neck with strings of jewels. Song of Solomon 1:2,9-10

Wife:    Come, my lover, let us go to the countryside, let us spend the night together just the two of us. Song of Solomon 7:11

Husband: I said, "I will climb the palm tree; I will take hold of your  fruit."  Your breasts be like the clusters of the vine,  the fragrance of your breath like apples,  and your mouth like the best wine.  Song of Solomon 7:8,9

Wife:  Hurry, my lover, be my young stallion.  Song of Solomon 8:14   

1.  You must see your spouse as an ___________ sent from God especially for you. 

Jacob also went on his way, and the angels of God met him.  When Jacob saw them, he said, "This is the camp of God!" So he named that place

Mahanaim. (camping together) Genesis 32:1,2 

They will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven They  angels ministering spirits sent to you from God. We must pay more careful attention. Mark 12:25 Hebrews 1:14; 2:1;  

O morning star, son of the dawn. You were anointed as a guardian cherub,  for so I ordained you.  You were on the holy mount of God;  you  can walk among the fiery stones.  I praise the LORD, you his (my) angel.   Isaiah 14:12b; Ezekiel 28:14; Psalm 103:20 

Wives, support your own husbands, as to the Lord.  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.  Ephesians 5:22, 25,28 

 2. You must remind each other daily, how much God has blessed your union and how _______________ is your family. 

I had only my staff when I left home, but now I have become rich.  Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their children.  Genesis 32:10,11 

 

May  your  fountain be blessed,  and may you rejoice in the  wife   of   your   youth.  A loving doe, a graceful deer--may her breasts satisfy you always,  may you ever be captivated by her love.  Proverbs 5:18,19 

Enjoy life with spouse whom you love all the days of your life is  fleeting which He has given to you.  for this is  your  reward in life.  Ecclesiastes 9:9 

3.   You must never try to ___________ your spouse into loving you with words and STUFF,  just let love and respect flow from the heart. 

For he thought, "I will pacify him with these gifts I am sending on ahead; later, when I see him, perhaps he will receive me."  So Jacob's gifts went on ahead of him, but he himself spent the night in the camp.  Genesis 32:20,21 

If you want to gain your spouse’s love, it should  be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.  1 Peter 3:4 

The prophet even to the priest,  everyone deals falsely.  "They have  tried to heal the brokenness of My people with empty words.”  Jeremiah 6:13,13 

How much better is your love than wine,  And the fragrance of your oils than all [kinds] of spices.  Song Of Solomon 4:10 

4.   You must pray vehemently that God will ___________ you spiritually so that  the deepness of your love will be evident to your spouse. 

Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.  And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But Jacob said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"  So He said to him, "What [is] your name?" He said, "Jacob."  And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; Genesis 32: 25-28 

He struggled with the angel and overcame him;  he wept and begged for his favor. Hosea 12:4 

Blessed are the poor in spirit. And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight.   Matthew 5:3; Acts 9:18 

In his distress he sought the favor of the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.  2 Chronicles 33:12 

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,  sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.  (Love and Respect)  Proverbs 16:24
